100 Words Project 38: Perspectives

Perspectives

“ My Dad played with me!” he says excitedly
“P...l...a...y? What game?” his face is filled with scars.
“Yesterday, my dad finally played with me! He was throwing me off the deck of the sidewalk, carried me and throwing me again just like how he played with the dog. See...” he lifted his shirt and there were bruises and scars, a lot of them.
“ Dad loves me now!” He then runs around dancing as if it was the best day of his life.
That happiness on his face is the saddest thing I have ever seen in my life.
