Ancestors Knows Best!

Atonement is achieved through repentance, confession to the tribe leader and cleansing the body, accomplished by brushing the body with rosemary and sprinkling it with holy water. Killing the murderer of his wife shouldn’t require atonements, it was the right thing to do after all!  But he was extremely ill , all kinds of medicines have failed.Finally, his succouring family demand him to perform the ritual. He did them albeit half-heartedly. The result stunted him.  Afterwards, he bowed down with utmost respect to the well-deserving ancestors for the knowledge. He is finally able to forgive, the murder and himself.
